Perth BIA Sees Growth Thanks To New Initiatives Check out this great article about the Perth BIA's big changes this past year ![]() Perth’s BIA is seeing more interested participants than ever because of the new initiatives it is undertaking, says Perth Councillor and BIA Vice Chair Judy Brown. Brown passed a number of motions at Tuesday’s committee of the whole meeting, including increasing the board size from 9 members to between 9 and 12, increasing the number of environment committee voting members from 3 to 5, and appointing two new board members. Brown also noted that she is still receiving compliment’s about the downtown’s Christmas lights. She says the plan is to light them until the end of February, and then leave the strands up year round for cost savings. This year will be a trail run for leaving them up, and the BIA can re-assess the situation if there are any difficulties. |
