Norm Foster's 'On A First Name Basis' is simply irresistible.
On A First Name Basis (premiering Feb. 1 at the Studio Theatre) is one of Norm Foster's more recent comedies, and it proves that his humour, heart, and humanity have become even sharper with age.
We are introduced to David Kilbride, a reclusive novelist who has employed the same maid for 20 years. One day he realizes he knows absolutely nothing about her -- not even her first name -- while she know everything about him: his three wives, the sorry state of his current manuscript, and even where he keeps the good scotch. Disgusted with his own superficiality, Kilbride proposes that for a few hours they get to know one another, at long last, on a first name basis.
This irresistible Foster comedy premieres Thursday, February 1st for seven shows. Advance tickets are $24 exclusively at Tickets Please in the Matheson House Museum Visitor Centre. Tickets are $24 at the Studio Theatre box office on show nights. Attend opening night and save $5! For complete details please visit studiotheatreperth.com.
