Tish Giroux, the owner of this wee shop, grew up in Renfrew County with Irish and Scottish roots on her father’s side and Scottish roots on her mom’s side. While growing up on a farm, her parents instilled good work ethics and as a family followed the wonderful tradition of hosting many kitchen parties throughout the years.
When Tish and her husband Gerald moved to Lanark County and settled near Perth, they knew that this community was the perfect place to open their Celtic gift shop. After locating the shop on Gore St. for several years, they have now moved to a much larger location at 39 Foster St. in downtown Perth, Ontario.
This Saturday July 30th, everyone is invited to a Ceilidh at 39 Foster St. to celebrate their new store. Bob will be entertaining everyone with his Highland pipes from 12 p.m. – 1 p.m. and you are invited to stop in for a tea or coffee. If you happen to make a purchase on Saturday, you will have a chance to win a beautiful necklace and earring set.
Drop by and say hello to Tish and Gerald and Nancy this Saturday and congratulate them on their new location!
