Our thanks to our downtown businesses for volunteering at events, adding decorations to your displays, enhancing your facades and working long hours to accommodate the many tourists that came to our community this summer, to celebrate our 200th Anniversary. Our downtown is truly the heart of our community!
The Stewart Park Festival is also very fortunate to have a dedicated group of volunteers, including many who have volunteered for this much loved festival for several years. We understood this year that volunteers were being asked by several organizations to help out, and yet we were once again amazed to see the number of volunteers that stepped forward, especially since we added an additional night of celebration to commemorate the 200th Anniversary of Perth.
The Legacy Project for our 200th Anniversary is the amazing dry stone bridge that will be an example of community pride for many generations. It is a beautiful addition to the Town of Perth.
Our congratulations to the Town of Perth staff and the dedicated volunteers who devoted their time to create a wonderful Homecoming weekend as well as the other celebratory events that occurred this year. The commitment of our community to volunteer and support the various events are a true testament to what makes Perth such a special community to live, work and play. It is no wonder that our volunteers are proud of Perth and always eager to be ambassadors for our community.
