Coming Home for Christmas: Holiday Merchant Display Contest

One of the most magical holiday traditions in Downtown Perth is returning!

This year's Holiday Merchant Display Contest invites residents and visitors to stroll through downtown and experience the creativity, charm, and holiday spirit of our local businesses. Inspired by the theme"Coming Home for Christmas," participating merchants will transform their storefronts with festive displays that celebrate the warmth, traditions, and memories that make the season so special.

Expect to see twinkling lights, Christmas trees, fresh greenery, plaid accents, rustic décor, vintage holiday touches, and nods to Perth's Scottish heritage as businesses bring their unique interpretation of the theme to life. Whether "home" means gathering with loved ones, returning to cherished traditions, or simply enjoying the comfort and joy of the season, each display will tell a festive story.

Vote for Your Favourite Display

Beginning November 21, visitors will have the opportunity to vote for their favourite holiday storefront as part of the community celebration. Simply look for the contest QR codes displayed at participating businesses and cast your vote while exploring downtown. Voting remains open until December 13.

Make a Day of It

The display contest launches alongside Once Upon a Christmas, making it the perfect time to enjoy holiday shopping, festive activities, and the sights and sounds of the season. Gather family and friends, take an evening stroll through downtown, and discover the creativity and holiday spirit that make Perth such a special place to celebrate Christmas.

Come downtown, enjoy the displays, support local businesses, and help us crown Perth's favourite holiday storefront!
